Yesterday was a Big Day but Today has been more Difficult

Monday was a big day and was full of excitement and surprises.  The excitement started at about 3:30 AM and Sydney gave birth to 2 girls and 1 boy at 9:01 AM.  We are exhausted but what a blessing!  Here are their names and stats.

McKenna Faith weighed in at 4 lbs. and 12 oz.

McKayla Grace weighed in at 3 lbs.

Micah Langston weighed in at 3 lbs. and 9 oz.

Today, however, has been hard.  This morning we went to go see the girls and were immediately redirected to Micah ASAP because things were deteriorating.  (Micah had been in Level 3 NICU since birth getting the best treatment possible.  Early in the second trimester doctors had prepared us that Micah's low level of ambiotic fluid could indicate a problem with his kidneys and could become problematic for the development of his lungs.)  Everything the doctor's were concerned proved to be the case and unfortunately Micah passed away around 8:30 AM.

We were well prepared having received good medical counsel about Baby B's potential complications during pregnancy but today that picture became very clear.  God's plan for Micah was short but we will not forget him soon.  We can not say enough good things about the medical teams (doctors, delivery teams and NICU staff) who worked tirelessly with Micah.  It has been very touching to see how his short life has impacted so many people.  We are thankful for him and the blessing he has been to others.

McKayla and McKenna are doing really well but will need additional time in NICU to gain weight before they will be released to go home with us.  We are super thankful for their good health.

Please pray for our family as we process through all the changes we are experiencing all at one time.  We could certainly use the extra strength!!!

You have walked through the triumph and trials so well and have brought glory to our Lord!
